Danny S. Waddell, age 68, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015. He was born on March 10, 1947 to the late Richard and Leona (nee Subblett) Waddell in Martwick, Kentucky. Danny retired from National Can where he worked in Quality Control and he proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Danny is survived by his daughter: Judy (Karl) Nelson of Chesterton; three granddaughters: Kayla (Matthew) Greichunos, Clarissa (Dylan) Thomas and Zoe Thomas; six siblings: Richard (Barbara) Waddell, Jerry Waddell, Joe (Patricia) Waddell, Larry (Mary) Waddell, Darrell (Geraldine) Waddell and Randy (Martha) Waddell and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Judith Cotton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.

A funeral service for Danny will take place Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Indiana. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
