Darlene Alice Garrison

Darlene Alice Garrison (nee Harrill), age 78 a Hobart resident since 1984 passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024.  She was born on April 11,1946 in Gary, Indiana to the late JB and Steffie Harrill.  Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family, bird watching, Bunco, Bingo, and going to the casino.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald F. (Latisha) Garrison of Hobart, IN; Scott A. (Susan) Garrison of Portage, IN; two brothers, Jay "Butch" Harrill of Portage, IN; John (Rita) Hutman of Lake Station, IN; three sisters, Bonnie Bacon of Portage, IN; Steffie "Cookie" Perez of Michigan City, IN; Annette "Annie" Skees of Hobart, IN; two grandsons, Bryan and Nathan Garrison, great-grandchildren, Koa and Alice Swier, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Garrison, one brother, Mike "Mickey" Hutman, and two sisters, Georgia "Jo" Osowski, and Pauline Jeremiah.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Darlene's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services are Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart.  Cremation will follow.  Visitation is just prior to the service on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.  (219) 942-2109.
