Darren Lee Rizley, age 46, a resident of Portage passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011. He was born on October 15, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Albert and Wanda Rizley. Darren was a 1982 graduate of Portage High School. He was married to Sharon Jackle on December 11, 1992. Affectionately known by many as "Bubz", he was a member of the PFND Football Club, he coached and was a board member of the Portage Little League, he coached and was a board member of the Portage Youth Basketball, and he was a member of the Chain Gang for the Portage Pop Warner Football. He enjoyed watching his kid's sports, fantasy football, playing poker, and computers.

Darren is survived by his loving family; wife Sharon Rizley, Portage, daughter Megan (Keith) Kahn, Fort Wayne, sons Eric Rizley and Alec Rizley, Portage, grandchildren Kyleigh, Jonathon, and Lily, mother, Wanda Rizley, Portage, brother Darrel (Christina) Rizley, Wichita, Kansas, sisters Helen (Jose) Maldonado, Portage, Pam (Bill) Slicker, Hebron, and Debbie (Sonny) Newton, Corpus Christie, Texas, and other loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation for Darren Rizley will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Forsythe, officiating. Burial will be at McCool Cemetery in Portage.
