Darryl K. Heine

Darryl Keith Heine, 74, of Hobart, passed away suddenly on April 22, 2024.  He was born July 8, 1949, in Valparaiso to the late Harold and Mary (Kelly) Heine.

Darryl lived his whole life in northwest Indiana.  He was a coach for Pop Warner football for several years while his children played, and then stayed on after his boys aged out to continue mentoring kids.  He was an avid Chicago Bears fan but also cheered for Notre Dame at the college level, and of course, his beloved Brickies.  Above all, Darryl loved his family and doted over his grandchildren.  He will be missed greatly. In the words of Darryl "GO BEARS!"

Darryl is survived by his children, Rachael (Greg) Heine-Weber, Robb (Trisha) Locke, and Joseph Locke, 12 grandchildren, and a niece and nephew.

In addition to his parents, Darryl was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Victor "Bud" Boughamer.

A celebration of life is planned to be held at the Cressmoor Country Club, 601 Wisconsin Street Hobart, Indiana 46342. It will be on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
