DAVEY LEE HUNT, age 75, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at home. Dave loved his wife Donna and his family above all things. He left his handprint on everyone and everything he touched including family and friends. We shall all be better people for having known this talented and skilled man. His memory is reflected in the projects he completed or those to whom he lent a helping hand. Dave was always good for a story that left you with humor and a good chuckle. He leaves behind his beloved pets, Joey & Toby, with memories of their walks and golf cart rides. Dave had been a longtime Northwest Indiana resident and was retired from Blackhawk Construction. He recently finished building the family cabin and loved camping.
Dave is survived his loving wife, Donna, 2 sons, Davey Hunt, Jr. of New Holland, Ohio, Jerry Hunt of Clearwater, FL, 3 daughters, Tammy (Al) Fabian of Hammond, Lori (Bruce) Schnaith of Indianapolis, IN and Janet (Ed) Holmes of Hobart, step-son, Timothy Kyser of Griffith and step-daughter, Kimberly (Tim) Rouse of Oak Forest, IL, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Duane (Janice) Hunt and Bill (Kelly) Hunt, all of Hobart, sister, Sharon (Larry) Mense of Taylorville, IL and Glenda Bitner of Arizona and numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Mike Farar officiating.
