David A. Walker, age 79, of Hobart passed away Friday March 14, 2025, at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. David was born May 27, 1945, in Gary, Indiana to the late Byrd and Bertha (Farris) Walker. David was a retired Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Agent. He was a member of the 5th Street Club and the Christian Motorcycle Club. He loved his family and will be missed.

David is survived by his wife, Carol Walker; five children, Michael Walker, Michelle (Jay) Walker-Harrigan, Brian Walker, Brenda (John) Kos, and Amanda (Ashkan) Malayeri; five stepchildren, Mary (Peter) Rivera, Richard (Diane) Dowdle, Kenneth (Misty) Dowdle, Jennifer (Craig Diaz) Dowdle, Julie (Nathan Riley) Canty; sixteen grandchildren, Noah Walker, Alex Walker,  Soraya Malayeri, Remy Malayeri, Corey (Kyle) Rivera, Olivia Rivera, Vanessa (Nick) Chimitt, Patrick Dowdle, Kerry Dowdle, Aaron Dowdle, Taylor Dowdle, Gavin Diaz, Vivienne Diaz, Charles Canty, Jack Canty, and Collin Canty; four great grandchildren, Sebastian Dowdle, Rowan Dowdle, Everly Dowdle, and Miles Chimitt; a sister, Judy (Bill) Bright, and many other relatives and dear friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

He wished to be cremated with no attended services at this time.

Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana was entrusted with David's  services.
