David J. Farley, age 87, of Portage, IN passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022.

David was born in Gary, IN on March 14, 1935 to the late Ralph and Marian Farley. He retired after 46 years from the Post Tribune as a Plant Engineer doing all sorts of repairs on the machines.  In April of 1958, David married Margaret (nee Russell) Farley and they spent 63 loving years together until her passing in December of 2021. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

David is survived by his sons: Mike Farley, Douglas (Carla) Farley, and Scott (Melody) Farley; grandchildren: Michael Jr., April, Ryan, Maiah, Randall, Jamie, and Micah; 17 great-grandchildren; and may other loving family members and friends.

David is preceded in death by his wife: Margaret and parents: Ralph and Marian.

Per David's wishes, there will be no funeral services held.  Cremation and arrangements entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
