David Wayne Flick

David Wayne Flick, age 64, of Davenport, Iowa and formerly of Hobart. Passed away Friday, June 01, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital.  He was born in Gary, Indiana on April 23, 1954 to Robert E. and Marilyn (nee Ailes) Flick.  He worked as a Quality Control Manager at Azcon Steel in Sterling, Illinois. David was a man with a strong faith in God, who was selfless and set the happiness of those around him above his own.  He loved playing golf and spending time with his family.

David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Anna (nee Biggs) Flick; mother, Marilyn Martinez; children, Kristine (Paul) Blanton, Kevin (Melissa) Flick, Kimberly (Jackie) Bean and Kathleen (CT) Broske; sisters, Sherry (Jim) Petoskey and Robin (Jerry) Flick; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Flick; stepfather, James Martinez; and brother, Steven R. Flick.

A funeral service for David will take place Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:00 am with Mr. Jeromie J. Disser officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Hobart, IN 46342.  He will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 2-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.  For more information, please call 219-942-2109.
