David L. Giotte

David L. Giotte, age 86, of Portage and formerly of Hessville passed away Thursday January 9, 2020 at his son's home in Portage.  David was born March 30, 1933 in The Jackson Park Neighborhood of Chicago to the late Fred and Mary (Lee) Giotti.  David was a retired Mail Carrier with over thirty-five years of service. He carried routes in Munster and Hessville.  David was a member of National Association of Letter Carriers.

David is survived by his seven children, Kenneth A. (Christina) Giotte of Portage, David P.(Dena) Giotte of Arizona, E. Ray (Mara) Floyd of Fort Myers, FL, Pat (Russ) Sherrow of Hobart, Becki (Bob) Paske of Jacksonville, FL, Paula (Rick) South of Valparaiso and Lorna Anderson of Lowell; his sister, Linda Gary of Kentucky; several loving grandchildren including Anastasia Giotte.

David was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra L. Giotte; his parents; and his sister, Nancy Cox.

Visitation will be Monday January 13, 2020 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368 from 3pm-7pm. Private graveside services will be scheduled following cremation.
