David George King

David George King, age 60, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday January 23, 2025, at the Brickyard Healthcare of Valparaiso. David was born September 6, 1964, in Gary, Indiana to the late Charles and Doris (Kramer) King. He worked for the Lake County Association for the Retarded beginning in 1982. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart.

David is survived by a sister, Linda (Jim) Barzler of Wilmington, NC; two brothers, Chuck (Mary) King of Valparaiso, and John (Rhonda) King of Medina, OH; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

David was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Cheryl Mathis.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday February 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Rees Funeral Home Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368. His memorial service will follow immediately at 11:30 with Rev. Nathan Kramer officiating. Burial of ashes will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart.
