David W. McDowell, age 43, of Hebron, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015. He was born on September 9, 1972 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Earl McDowell and Susan Stephens. He was employed as a line operator for Electric Coating Technology in East Chicago since 1997. Dave proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Wilson Bates Post #190 in Hebron. He was an avid Bowler.

Dave is survived by his father: Earl (Kimberly) McDowell of Hobart; mother: Susan (Rick) Stephens of Hobart; son: David McDowell Jr.; daughter: Megan McDowell; brother: Steve McDowell; half brother: Rick Stephens.

He is preceded in death by his brother: Adam McDowell and sister: Heather McDowell.

A memorial service for Dave will take place on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.
