David Michael Nordyke

DAVID MICHAEL "MIKE" NORDYKE, age 64, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Northwest Health.  He was born on September 10, 1957, in East Chicago, IN.  Mike was a veteran of the US Navy and a retiree of Inland Steel. He enjoyed going to Michigan a lot, as well as drumming, camping and riding his motorcycle. Mike will remembered as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Mike is survived by his son, Michael Nordyke; mother, Geraldine Nordyke, brother, Dale S. Nordyke; sister, Debbie (Philip) Russum; nephew, Shawn (Cindy) Russum; great-nephew, Landon Russum; and beloved dog, Connor.

He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Nordyke and his father, David Nordyke.

There will be a memorial service for Mike will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until a Time of Sharing at 7:00 p.m., all at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
