Obituary

DAVID E. PEACH, age 61, of New Chicago, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026. He was born on July 13, 1965, to the late Denven and Marilyn Peach. He met the love of his life and was with her for 15 years before they married on February 14, 1996. Dave was a supervisor for many years at the Portage Township Schools. He loved his motorcycles, music, and playing in bands for 25 years – 2 Days Gone, Mixed Nuts, and Texas Thunder. Above all he cherished his family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nikki Peach (Ison); 2 daughters, Tabitha (Rocky) Solano and Tiffinie (Martin) Berrum; 5 grandchildren, Ta’Lyah, Ta’Tiana, Rocky Jr., Martin Jr., and Amaya; brother, Daniel (Diane) Peach; 4 sisters, Darlene (Jimmy) Barnes, Debra (Scott) Smith, Denise (Brijido “Pretso”) Montesdeoca and Dana Peach; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; cousin like a brother, John (Natalie) Probus.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s memory to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.

There will be a visitation for David on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 1:00 p.m-7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., with additional visitation on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service, which will begin at Noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
