David Joseph Pipas

Age 66, of Portage passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Northwest Health in Valparaiso. He was born on February 10, 1956, to Steven Robert and Dorothy (nee Jenkins) Pipas in Gary, Indiana. David proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and worked as a longshoreman at Port of Indiana. He enjoyed watching Nascar, playing pool and cornhole and was an avid Bears fan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

David is survived by his wife of 43 yrs., Rene (nee Smith); son, Corey; grandchildren, Payton and Covah; father, Steven Robert; brothers, Mark (Pam), Steven, and John; sisters, Lyn (John) and Kathy (Ron); many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jean.
