David Blaze Rocchi, Jr., age 36 of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was born on August 9, 1988, in Sedalia, Missouri to David Blaze Rocchi, Sr. and Janet Bennett. Blaze was currently employed as a machinist for Aero Machine in Valparaiso. He was a member of the Hobart VFW. He loved nature and was an avid outdoorsman. His greatest joy in life was his son, Jaxson and he cherished the time he spent fishing and camping with him.

He is survived by his son and the light of his life, Jaxson Rocchi; Jaxson's mother, Michelle (Brad) Goyette; his mother, Janet (Terry Watson) Bennett; brother, Jeremy (Devin) Hix; nephews, Dale Hix, Jesse (Olivia) Hix; and great niece, Luna May Hix.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Blaze Rocchi, Sr.; and grandmother, Pat Wade. Memorial contributions in Blaze's name may be made to the Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Dr. Suite 100 Arlington, VA 22203.

Memorial visitation for Blaze will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
