David Michael Shilney, age 40, of Portage, passed away August 10, 2016. He was born on March 4, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. In his free time, he enjoyed playing Poker. He was an ad broadcaster for ESPN

David is survived by his fiancée, Bridget Ripperdan; son, Mason Warzecha; mother Faith Espernaz; cousins, Dorothy Shilney and Skip Orozco; mother and father-in-law, Arnold (Peggy) Ripperdan; brother-in-law, Matt (Amy) Ripperdan; nieces Ema and Eva Ripperdan; close friends, Sonia (George) Clark, Pete (Billie) Cyprian, Glenn McSparin, Robert Duffy, Dr. G. Kumar and many others.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Michael Shilney; and cousin's husband, Darwin Gomez.
