David Joe Wilson, age 50, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015. He was born on October 20, 1964 in Torrance, California to Joe and Loretta Wilson. David was a member of the Automobile Mechanics' Union Local 701. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, NASCAR and playing his guitar. He was an avid Star Wars fan.

David is survived by his parents, Joe and Loretta Wilson; wife, Charlene Wilson; children, Ashley Taylor, Kevin (fiancé Rachael Phillippe) Wilson, Jessica Wilson; grandchild, Hunter Taylor; sisters, Rebecca Wilson-Moore, Keisha Wilson-Stapleton, Iris Thacker; many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Wilson; sisters in law, Collene Hastie and Disco McGee.

A funeral service for David will take place Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, Indiana 46405. Cremation will follow services.
