David L. Zeller, age 72, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Symphony of Chesterton. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 1, 1944 to the late James and Virginia (nee Daghy) Zeller. Dave was a proud member of the United States Army. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1962. Dave retired from US Steel, Local 1066, in 2003 after 40 years of employment.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Midge (Chris) Clouser; grandchildren, Ian, Riley, and Molly Clouser; sisters, Carol Needham, Lori Conrad; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, of 41 years, Jacquelyn (nee Robinson) Zeller and his parents.

A memorial service for Dave will take place Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342 with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.
