Debbie Cicillian Gorigus

Debra D. Cicillian Gorigus (nee Carter), age 69, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was born on July 9, 1952 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late John and Katherine Carter. Debra worked for 15 years as an afterschool care provider at the Hobart YMCA. She had a wonderful sense of humor and will always be remembered as a loving mother to her sons.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Cicillian, Joshua (Michelle) Cicillian, Justin (Chuck Dayton) Cicillian; grandchildren, Amanda, Lauren and Emily Cicillian; brother, Bill (Diane) Carter; and sister, Martha Waddell.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Cicillian, Jr.; second husband, James Gorigus; and her parents, John and Katherine Carter. Memorial contributions in Debra's name may be made to the Humane Society of Hobart, PO Box 108, Hobart, IN 46342.

A funeral service for Debra will take place Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. She will be laid to rest at McCool Cemetery.
