Deborah Black

Age 58, of Lake Station, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Deborah was born on November 24, 1953 in Gary, Indiana to Luther and Helen Bird. Deborah worker at Super Kmart in Portage for almost 25 years. She enjoyed reading, going to the Casino and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son; Jason Black of Lake Station, father; Luther Bird of Portage, brother; Roger Bird of Portage, sister; Jo Ann (Riley) Hutsell of Neosho, Missouri and many other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son Jeremy W. Black and mother Helen (nee Wagoner) Bird.
Funeral services for Deborah will be held Tuesday, September 11 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jo Ann Hutsell officiating Rees funeral home, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held Monday, September 10, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Portage, Indiana.
