Obituary
Deborah Lancaster, age 52 of Portage passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was born on June 4, 1962 in Gary, Indiana to the late Theodore and Dorothy Smelko. Deborah was a former Chicago resident and worked at the Goodwill Store in Hobart.
She is survived by one son, Alek Lancaster of Elgin, Il; two sisters, Linda (Charles) Deering of Hobart, IN; Theresa (Mark) Watson of GA; two brothers, Daniel Smelko of Fort Wayne, IN; Robert Smith of AL, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Aubrey Rose Lancaster.
Funeral services are Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. At Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Cremation will follow with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation service. Visitation is just prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Call (219) 942-2109.
