Deborah Lynn Serrato (Helge), 70 years young of Portage, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024. She went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her daughter, BobbyJean; her ex-husband and best friend, Bob; and her granddaughters, Serena and Justina. She was born on January 21, 1954, in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Maurice and Patricia Helge. She was passionate about being out in nature whether she was on the beach soaking up the sun or tending to her plants. Deborah loved worshipping the Lord and spending quality time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, BobbyJean Canada; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Leah (Gene) Smith, Michael Helge, Traci (Pat) O'Hara, Erin Lee; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Ricky Canada and Jeff Johnston; sister, Rannone Byers; and brothers, Mark and Eric Helge.
