Debra Johnson, age 63, passed away Wednesday March 26, 2025, in her home. She was born January 27, 1962, to Earl and Alice "Gwen" (Hadley) Gass in Gary, Indiana. Debra was a DJ and executive salesperson for several radio stations in Illinois. She was a life member of the Girl Scouts of America and worked for the Centralia Council for several years. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Portage.

Debra is survived by her son, Chance Draper of St. Charles, Illinois; her loving mother, Gwen Gass of Lake Station; two stepchildren, Doug Draper and Amanda Draper; two brothers, David (Jennifer) Gass and Ronald Gass; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Earl Gass, her husband Wallace Johnson, and a sister-in-law Becky Gass.

Visitation for Debra will be from 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday April 2, 2025, at Rees Funeral home, Brady Chapel 3781 Central Ave Lake Station, Indiana 46405. Her funeral service will follow immediately at 1 pm at the Funeral Home with Brother James Williams officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Portage, Indiana.
