Debra Marie Renn

Age 70, of Hobart passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at her home. She was born on September 17, 1953, in Gary, Indiana to the late Mickey and Virginia Mucha. Debra was a 1971 graduate of River Forest, and she retired from Jewel Osco in Munster after 33 years, where she worked as a baker. On December 24, 1979, in Crown Point Indiana Debra married the love of her life Kenneth Earl Renn and they spent 44 loving years together. She enjoyed making cards, baking, and giving gifts, most of all she loved being with her four grandchildren. Her favorite thing was spending time with her husband and grandchildren at their home in Fort Myers and their trips to Disney.  Debra will be remembered as a loving, generous, and helpful person. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Earl Renn; son, Jeff (Christy) Renn; four grandchildren, Grace, Faith, Hannah, and Caleb; brother, John (JoMarie) Mucha; brother-in-law, Billy (Mary Frances) Renn and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mickey Mucha and her mother, Virginia (Berdeal) Mucha.

A funeral service for Debra will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342, with Rev. Dale Combs officiating. A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 2:00-8:00 pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
