Debra A. Wrobel

Debra A. Wrobel, age 58, of Hobart and formerly of Lake Station, passed away on Monday January 10, 2022.

Debra was born on January 21, 1963 in Gary, IN to the late Walter and Jean (nee Dudzick) Wrobel.  She was a graduate of Polk High School, Class of 1982.  Debra competed in the Special Olympics and was a gold medalist in frisbee throwing.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Debra helped her friend Julie in substitute teaching and was a little cheerleader for Julie's son Bobby's sporting events.  She was a very helpful and loving woman who always put a smile on everyone's face. Debra was a beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Debra is survived by her siblings: Michael (Veronica) Wrobel and Sandy (Steve) Arvin; loving nieces and nephews: Bobby (Julie) Arvin, Steven (Shelly) Arvin, Michael Wrobel, Kimberly (Mark) Cobb, Joy Lynn Wrobel, and Jaclyn Ziobro; loving great-nephew: Bobby; and a host of dear friends.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W. Old Ridge Rd, Hobart) on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 11:00-1:00.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00.  At rest, McCool Cemetery.
