DELORES Y. GERBER, age 70, of Portage, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at Methodist Hospital, Southlake Campus. Delores had been a Portage resident for 44 years. She enjoyed fishing, bingo and bowling.
Delores is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald Gerber, 4 children: Melody (Alan) Zumwalt of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Mark Gerber of Portage, Dianna (Tom) Sater of Valparaiso, and Wayne (Lynn) Gerber of Portage, 8 grandchildren: Brandon, Amber, Elizabeth, Joshua, Nicole, Lindsay, Kirsten and Nathan, 6 great grandchildren: Madison, Ethan, Allison, Gabriel, Cecilia and Sean, brother, Terry Gerber of South Bend, IN, and nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Juanita Lee Gerber and 2 grandchildren, Shawn & Andrew.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station with Rev. Gene Tanner officiating.
