Deloris A. Jackson, age 87, of Hobart, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.  She was born on September 24, 1930 in Weldon, Illinois to the late Harold and Helen Allan (Esser). Deloris retired from Maurers Meats. In her free time, she played bridge, and enjoyed doing stained glass and refinishing furniture.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Mike) Sipich of Hobart, Debra (Richard) Vucich of Hobart; grandson, Michael Boyll (Amanda) of Valparaiso; great grandchildren, Liam, Ava and Nylah Boyll, and Kasey; brother, Stewart Allan of Portage; sister, Gloria Axtell of Portage; sisters-in-law, Cherry Kingston of Bloomington, IL, Evelyn Allan of Hobart; many other loving family members and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Tina, Kimberly and Tammy for the loving care they provided for their mother.

Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Jackson in 2016; and one brother, Harold Allan.

Memorial service will take place Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
