Denise Lash

Denise Lash, age 64 of Portage, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at VNA Hospital surrounded by her family.  She was born June 2, 1956 in Gary, Indiana to the late Charles and Doris (nee McLaughlin) Hackley. Denise was a Andrean High School graduate and an Auto Value of Valparaiso retiree. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and shopping with her sister. She will be remembered as a caring, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Denise is survived by her loving son, James (Becky) Lash; three grandsons, Dylan, David Jr., and Gavin Lash; sister, Lynn (James) Allegret and numerous other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Lash Jr.  and her parents.

Visitation for Denise will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 from 2:00-8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10 am with Rev. David Kime officiating also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. www.reesfuneralhomes.com .
