Dennis W. Ahrens

Dennis W. Ahrens, age 70, of Lake Station passed away Monday May 10, 2021 at Franciscan Health, Crown Point.  Dennis was born August 13, 1950 in Gary, Indiana to the late Phillip and Leaotice Ahrens.  Dennis most recently worked as an armed security guard for NWI Security.  Dennis is survived by his daughter, Erica (Fiance` Brian D. Wood) Ahrens of Lake Station; four grandchildren, Dylan Martin, Adam (Brittney Weigand) Martin, Ethan Ahrens, and Christian Spoor; two great grandchildren, Ariah Martin and Paisley Dyer; and many dear friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his parents; and two brothers, Donald Ahrens and Ronald Ahrens.

Visitation for Dennis will be conducted Saturday May 22, 2021 from 1-7 pm at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342.  Cremation will follow.
