Dennis Ryba

Dennis A. Ryba, age 70, of Portage, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. He was born on May 30, 1949 in Gary, Indiana to the late Al and Laverne Ryba. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #260 in Portage. Dennis retired from Delta Sun Electric where he was employed as an Electrician. He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed fishing, and collecting coins, stamps and model trains.

Dennis is survived by his sons, Jeremy Ryba, Chad Ryba; grandchildren, Riley and Gemma Lynn Ryba; sister, Kathleen Needs; nieces, Valerie Sobczak and Candice (Bryan) Luttman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Dennis will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Cremation will follow visitation.
