Dennis M. Vizena "Grumpy", age 59, of Lake Station, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  He was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on April 13, 1959.  He worked for the Merrillville Community School Corporation in the maintenance department.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Laura (nee Shoemaker) Vizena; son, Bobby (Sarah) Vizena; sister, Mary Bowen; brother, Ray Garner; nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Jo (nee Wineland) Vizena; two sisters, Nancy, Ann; and niece, Halley.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Dennis's honor, to VNA Hospice, 2401 Valley Dr. Valparaiso, IN 46383.

A memorial service for Dennis will take place Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Kime officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave. Lake Station, IN 46405.
