Dennis Washko, age 83 of Lake Station, IN passed away in Yarmouth, Maine. He was born on October 5, 1941, in Gary, Indiana to the late Stephen and Anne Washko. Dennis graduated from Emerson High School in 1958. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. On September 7, 1968, he married the love of his life, Mary Washko (Marygirl). Dennis retired from US Steel where he worked as a metallurgist for over forty years. He loved to rebuild and repair cars and enjoyed maintaining his yard. He also loved helping family and friends with odd jobs and enjoyed his newfound friendship with cats.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy (Bob Erving) Washko; grandsons, Dennis Erving, Joey (Carlene Orsillo) Erving; brother, Allen (Elizabeth) Washko; sisters-in-law, Marcella Tharp, Sandy Kolosci; brothers-in-law, John (Lou) Kolosci, Dennis (Kathy) Kolosci; good friends, Maryanne Ivanyo, Ed (Donna) Ivanyo, and Marcelo Villasenor; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Ann Washko; his beloved wife, Mary Washko; brothers, Steve Washko, Phil Washko; sister, Janet Washko; good friends, Mike Ivanyo, Frankie and Bill (Myrna) Hall.

Visitation for Dennis will be held Monday, March 10, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
