Dennis Wayne Willis, age 61, of Lake Station passed away Friday September 13, 2013 at his home. Dennis was born October 15, 1951 in Gary, Indiana to Earl and Betty (Kacin) Willis. He was a disabled Iron Worker that formerly worked for I.B.I.W. local union #395. Dennis was an avid bowler that loved his family dearly.
Dennis is survived by his mother Betty L. Willis of Lake Station; three daughters Roberta (James) Hillman of Knox, Jennifer Willis of Chesterton and Patricia Pearl of Knox; seven grandchildren Allison, Robert, Jason, Maegan, EmmaLee, Ava and Natalee; three sisters Linda Cyprian of Pennsylvania, Catherine (Don) Bunning of Knox and Diane (Norman) Kirby of TX; several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father Earl.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday September 17, 2013 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368 Pastor Don Good officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are preferred to Dennis' family.
