Dessie Ann Gross

Dessie A. Gross (Bickett), age 63 of Lake Station passed away suddenly on August 28, 2024. She was born on May 22, 1961, in Camp Pendleton, California. She worked as a CNA for VNA Hospice for more than twenty years. Dee could best be described as an animal lover. She particularly liked cats and dedicated most of her free time to rescuing strays. Above all, she cherished her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Gross; daughters, Christa Wells, Jenna Lane, Meagan (Jacob) Jackson; grandchildren, Mercedes, Ethan, Kaylee, Taylor, Ashton, Savannah, Connor, Allison; great grandson, Noah; mother, Gwen Polansky; father, Joseph (Diane) Bickett; brother, Todd Szabo; and her beloved cats, Jinx, Mistletoe, Noel, Doja, Ruby, Pretty Boy, Pink Nose and Jade.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Dee may be made to the Humane Society of Hobart, 2054 IN SR 130, Hobart, 46342.

A funeral service for Dee will take place Friday, September 6, 2024, at 6:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
