Destiney Dejah Ingram, age 17 of Valparaiso passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013. She was born on December 27, 1995 in Hobart, Indiana. Destiney was a current graduating student of Wheeler High School. She was a former Lake Station resident. Destiney was a former employee at the Portage 16 Imax and was currently employed at Popeye's Chicken.
She is survived by her mother, Shelly (Cornell) Irby of Valparaiso, IN; 1 sister, LaShea Ingram of Valparaiso, IN; grandfather, Gary Ingram, 2 great-grandmothers, Betty Ingram and Betty Carns, special friend, Cristina Gamboa, her FBF, Keri Ingram, unborn niece or nephew, and many step-brothers, step-sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by 2 grandmothers, Marsha Carns and Patsy Ingram.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
Funeral services are Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation is Thursday just prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
