Diana Kaye Huard

Diana Kaye Huard (Newman), age 54, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Diana was born on December 1, 1962 in Lebanon, Indiana to surviving parents, Kenneth and Martha Newman. After graduating from Lebanon High School in 1981, she received an Associate degree from Vincennes University. She held various administrative positions over the years and was always a hardworking, loyal employee. Her greatest joy in life was being a nurturing, loving mom to her four children, Danielle (Oliver) Dorsuleski, Brendan, Baylee, and Dana Huard and a devoted wife for 32 years to her soul mate, Brent. Diana was an avid reader but for the past 17 months most enjoyed being the BEST Nana to her precious grandson, Owen, who she loved to the moon and back. Diana is also survived by her sister, Christine (Rodney) Moore; brother, Tim Newman; in-laws, Keith and Barbara Huard; brother-in-law, Trever Huard; sisters-in-law, Cheri Eriks and Julie Huard; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends who will miss her dearly.

Diana was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Wayne Newman in 1958 and Charles Louis Newman in 1959.

Visitation for Diana will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm CST at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11:00 am directly at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 509 West Division Road, Valparaiso with visitation there from 10:00 am until the time of service.
