Diane "Dena" (nee Poulos) Semper, age 84, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. She was born on June 8, 1931 in Gary, Indiana to the late John and Mary Poulos, both of the small village of Kalavrita, Greece. She will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother and friend to those who knew her.

Diane is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Ronald Semper; sons, Theodore (Hazel) Semper, Michael Semper; grandchildren, Marci Diane Semper and Mary Lillian Semper; lifelong friends, Anita Urban and Joyce Mae Semper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Poulos; brother, George Poulos; sisters, Catherine Chakos, Helene Ehart, and Angie Boone. Memorial contributions in Diane's name may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6540 Central Avenue, Portage or the Hobart Garden Club, 1034 East 8th St., Hobart, IN 46342.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service for Diane will take place Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Wally Waite officiating. She will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery.
