Diane Lynn Wilson, age 71, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020. She was born on March 10, 1948 in Gary, Indiana to the late Harold and Margaret Hanaway. Diane was a 1966 graduate of Emerson High School. She was a dedicated member of the Hobart Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing games and doing puzzles. Diane spent a lot of her free time outdoors with her family and her beloved dogs, Fifi and Prince. But most of all, she loved watching Live PD and studying her Bible.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Cindy) Wilson, Jr.; daughter, Amy (Michael) Hendrickson; grandchildren, Devin Wilson, Isiah Burkart, Jimmy Esposito; mother-in-law, Lucille Wilson; sisters, Carol Kubacki and Gail Reich.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wilson, Sr. in 2015; parents, Harold Hanaway and Margaret Woods; brother, Harold "Butch" Hanaway, Jr.; and father-in-law, Calvin Coolidge Wilson.

A funeral service for Diane will take place Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with her son, Michael Wilson, Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 10, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
