Dianna C. Unrue

Age 79 passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her home. She was born on December 31, 1943, to the late Frank C. and Marie (nee Kroll) Krulik in Hammond, Indiana.  On January 8, 1966, Dianna married the love of her life Earl Unrue, and they spent 57 loving years together. Dianna was a lifetime caregiver and received letters of gratitude from families for her kindness, compassion, and genuine care of their loved ones. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, canning, cooking, sewing, and baking. Her favorite holiday, Christmas, would bring out her baking talents that were shared with many throughout her life. She had so many good times with her siblings and got into a lot of shenanigans with her brother, Frankie. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Dianna is survived by her loving husband of 57 yrs., Earl Unrue; son, John (Leslie) Unrue; two daughters, Connie (David) Shaffer and Bonnie (Jamie) Owens; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Joe) Vitucci; brother-in-law, Rex Unrue and many other loving family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank C. Krulik Jr. and sisters, Shirley A. Hood, Bonnie J. Krulik and Jeanne M. Krulik.

A funeral service for Dianna will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Cremation will follow. Visitation will also be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
