Dolores Darlene Galler (nee Redding), 68, of Crown Point, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2023. She was born in Glenview, IL, on June 9, 1955, to Roscoe Everett Redding, Sr., and Lola Clorine Sheets (nee Badger).
After high school graduation, Dolores held clerical and management positions at various retail stores, including JC Penney and Goodwill, until her retirement in 2020. On October 18, 1975, she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Galler.
Dolores is survived by her half-brother, Timothy Sheets, of Patton, MO, her half-sister, Lisa (Ryan) Birmingham, of Cord, AR, her aunt, Barbara Rial, of Macomb, IL, two brothers-in-law, Jim (Kathy) Galler, of San Diego, CA, and Don (Roberta) Galler, of St. Augustine, FL, two sisters-in-law, Peggy (Marty) Mendez, of Crown Point, and Kay (Dean) Hammond, of Hobart, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Bob, her parents, her older brothers, Roscoe Redding, Jr., Glen Redding, Sr., Dale Thomas Redding, and her older half-brother John Redding.
Visitation at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, in Hobart, IN, on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 3 – 7 p.m. Funeral Service at Rees Funeral Home, on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN, following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Dolores' honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
