Dolores E. Minnerly, age 87, of Carmel, Indiana, formerly of Portage, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018.  She was born in Gary, Indiana on August 4, 1930 to the late Clarence and Dorothy (nee Hensen) Timmerman.  Dolores graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary, class of 1949.  She worked as a hairdresser and was a past member of the Jaycees Organization.  Dolores enjoyed playing cards, dancing, sewing, and was an amazing cook.

Dolores is survived by her children, Penny (Joseph) Jargella, Joseph (Susan) Webb; step children, Robert Minnerly, Jr., Katzy Minnerly, Blake Minnerly; grandchildren, Sierra, Shannon; and step grandchildren, Emily, Milo.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Webb; husband, Robert D. Minnerly; brother, Eugene Timmerman; and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Dolores's honor, to the Porter County Animal Shelter, 3355 Bertholet Blvd, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
