DOLORES J. VOYT, age 73, of Portage, passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Dolores was a Portage resident for 28 years and formerly of Gary. She graduated from Tolleston High School in 1956 and retired from US Steel in Gary with 45 years of service. Dolores was a kind, gentle person who showed generosity to her family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Judy (late George) Dailey of Crown Point and brother-in-law, Ronald, Sr., (late Diane) Kelley of Valparaiso, 9 nieces & nephews: Timothy (late Barbara) Dailey, Amy Dailey, Daniel (Paula) Dailey, James (Lisa) Dailey, Beth (Jeff) Schwartz, Patrick Dailey (fiance, Danielle Puza), Melissa (David) Alaniz, Ron, Jr., (Dawn) Kelley and Amanda Kelley, 14 great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Mary Voyt and sister, Diane Kelley. Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society, Heart Association or Diabetes Association.
