Dominga "Maria" Marquez, of Lake Station passed away Thursday November 3, 2016 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dominga was born December 20, 1952 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Etanislao and Maria (Ramirez) Rivera. "Maria" enjoyed playing Dominos, Spades and gathering with her friends and family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Dominga was a former member of the Puerto Rican Benefit Society.

Dominga was survived by her loving husband of 40 years Jose O. Marquez, 1 son, 3 daughters, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Jose Marquez, Jr., and a sister.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday November 7, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home.
