Donald E. "Boomer" Sickles, May 6, 1945 –November 24, 2016, age 71, of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully as his family sang Amazing Grace to him. He married the love of his life, Glenna in Donora, PA on June 19, 1965. After his retirement from the mill he loved camping, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna; children, Don (Caryn) Sickles, Michelle (Mark) Cicillian, and Tami (Chris) Monahan; also grandkids, David and Kyle (Tracie) Cicillian, David (Allison) Sickles, Ashley (Zach) Garner, Kelli (Alex) Cicillian, Christen Monahan, Leisa Sickles, Tyler and Caleb Monahan; 10 great grandkids; sister Beverly (Ralph) Staley; and brother Harley (Kathy) Sickles both of Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family so they may purchase items in Don's memory for VNA Hospice.

Memorial services for Donald will be Friday, December 2, 2016 at the American Legion Post #502, 429 County Rd 750 N, Valparaiso, IN 46385 from 2-5 p.m. with dinner to follow. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Rees Funeral Homes, Hobart Chapel.
