Donald V. Burton, Sr.

Donald V. Burton, Sr., age 79, of Hobart, passed away September 9, 2020 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.  He was born in Redbud, Kentucky on August 18, 1941 to the late William and Eva (nee Hamby) Burton.  He enjoyed playing pool, watching birds, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his wife of 55 years, Freida Burton (nee Johnson); children, Brenda (Rick) Hoff of Hobart, Bruce (Erin) Burton of Valparaiso, Brian (Candy) Burton of Valparaiso, Anthony (Christy) Burton of Hobart; grandchildren, Matt, Jake, Lillian, Josh, Olivia, Cooper, Jenna; and sister, Norma Blevins of Springfield, TN.

He is preceded in death by his son, Donald V. Burton, Jr.; siblings, Raymond Burton, Gladys Madison, Clyde Burton, Jim Burton, Sygle Burton, Evelyn Burton, Virginia Bryant, Maxine Kelly, Harold Burton, Douglas Burton; and his parents.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd.
