Donald H. Cary, age 93 of Hobart passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 22, 1921 in Logan, West Virginia to the late Easter Brooke and Lona Cary. He served his country in the U.S. Navy in WWII. Donald retired from Mundell School in Hobart where he had worked as a Janitor for many years.

He is survived by 3 sons, Donald (Marian) Cary of FL; Michael (Nancy) Cary of FL; Larry Cary of Portage, IN; 1 daughter, Sandra (Jim) Johnson of Hobart, IN; 1 brother, Earl (Marie) Cary of WV; 1 sister, Margaret Bailey of NC; 11 grandchildren, Susan (Bill) Simmons, Don Cary, Lisa Morton, Carla (Rob) Bounds, Marcy Pytel, Scott (Heidi) Johnson, Tracy (Paul) Coppola, Cary (Craig) Schiess, Kelly (Steve) McDonald, Jodi Mitchell, Jeff (Danielle) Cary, 25 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret E. Cary.

Funeral services are Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Dan Flores officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Hobart.
