Donald Eugene Cook, Jr., age 64 of Portage passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at home. He was born on March 4, 1957 in Hammond, Indiana to Donald and Gloria Cook. Don was a dishwasher at Denny's and absolutely loved his job. He enjoyed working with people and was always very kind to anyone he met. He loved his car and having the freedom to go anywhere he wanted in it.

He is survived by his step-father, Harry Owens; step-mother, Alice Owens; sister, Shelia Lewandowski; nephews, Michael (Jessica) Lewandowski, Steven (Jillian) Lewandowski; great nieces and great nephews, Quinn, Addalyn, Holden, Vivian, Asa and Sullivan Lewandowski.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Cook, Sr; mother, Gloria Owens; and brother-in-law, Michael Joseph Lewandowski.

A graveside service for Don will take place Monday, December 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm directly at Calvary Cemetery, 2701 Willowdale Road, Portage, IN 46368.
