Donald T. Dowling, age 93, of Miller Beach passed away Wednesday February 25, 2015 in Portage, Indiana. He was born December 15, 1921 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late William and Emma (Terveer) Dowling. He was an inspector for Republic Steel retiring in 1979. Donald was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church and a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater.

Donald is survived many loving nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers William, Robert and Richard Dowling; and two sisters Mary Dowling and Joan Kucek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday February 28, 2015 at 9:00 am at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 6060 Miller Avenue, Gary, Indiana 46403 with Rev. Thomas Mischler officiating. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana and from 9-10 am Saturday at the Church.
