Donald W. Mcbrayer

DONALD W. McBRAYER, age 77, of Merrillville, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was born on June 7, 1939 in Grayson, KY. Donald was an Army veteran and a retiree of Ironworkers Local 395. He was a member of New Life Church and a former member of Hobart Suncrest Church. Donald enjoyed working at the church, going to the flea market, and laughing. He loved his family and his cats.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gail (nee Alexander); daughter, Donna (Steve) Price; sons, Ron (Jessica) McBrayer and William McBrayer; brothers, James R. & Archie; sister, Jane Adams; grandsons, Aaron & Paul Price, and Jacob McBrayer; sisters-in-law, Karen, Nancy, and Norma; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Nadine (nee Lewis); sister, Ann Sturgeon, and granddaughter, Hannah McBrayer.

There will be a memorial visitation for Donald on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at New Life Community Church, 1 N. Pennsylvania, Hobart, with Rev. Daniel Gute and Rev. Glen Milner officiating. There will be a private burial of cremains at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Rees Funeral Homes.
