DONALD E. RYAN, age 77, of Portage, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 1, 2013. Don was born on January 22, 1936 in Sheridan, Kentucky to Ruthie and Richard Ryan He was a steelworker and a retiree of US Steel. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #256 in Marion, Kentucky and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of South Bend. Don enjoyed reading and collecting various things as well as woodworking. He especially loved playing with his cats.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janet; niece Marvie Alvis and nephew, Steve Oates both of Marion, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry and Danny; and sister, Neta Oates.

There will be no services for Donald. A private burial of cremains will take place at Love Cemetery in Sheridan, Kentucky.
